Rami Basatneh

Dr. Rami Basatneh grew up in the North Dallas/West Plano area. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Dallas before obtaining his master's degree in medical sciences at Heritage University/Pacific Northwest University School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Basatneh received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University's School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) in Philadelphia, PA. During his medical education, he was elected as the National Delegate for the American Podiatric Medical Students Association (APMSA), and later was awarded the APMSA Leadership Award and the APMSA House of Delegates MVP Award. During his fourth year of medical school, Dr. Basatneh was voted Student of the Year, a prestigious title afforded to one student from the graduating class.

After matching with his top choice for residency training, Dr. Basatneh completed three years of surgical training in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the Detroit Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Hospital. He received training in orthopedic trauma at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Sinai Grace Hospital, and pediatric orthopedic surgical training at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. During his final year of training, Dr. Basatneh was selected to serve in the role of Chief Resident.

Dr. Basatneh has a special interest in foot and ankle trauma, sports injuries, adult and pediatric flatfoot correction, arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, limb salvage, and dermatology. Outside of the office, Dr. Basatneh enjoys mentoring and paying it forward. He has a special interest in professional advocacy and loves to teach. He also enjoys writing and research, having authored over 15 articles for Podiatry Today and presented multiple projects at various annual scientific conferences.

Outside of work, Dr. Basatneh enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his better half, Dr. Eman Sahloul, who is a pediatric hospitalist. Dr. Basatneh is excited to return to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to serve the wonderful community he grew up with!
